Captain Cheeseburger Digestive System Project
Heading towards the end of the school year, sixth-period biology class has begun to learn about the mechanical and chemical digestion. During this lesson, I have learned that human digestion is not that simple as I thought it was. It all starts with the substance being physically put in the mouth. After the substance is then taking a journey by having salivary gland break it down into pieces where it then can be sent down the oesophagus. Then after, the food has reached the stomach where enzymes and acids break down the food into a further breakdown. This is not the end of the digestive system but during the educational experience, the teacher has instructed the class multiples options of explaining the digestive system. My partner and I decided to design a comic book of a young cheeseburger in New Gally City (New York City) taking a subway to the stomach(the subway represents the oesphagus). In every part of the digestive system, there is a comical character that meets captain cheeseburger and explains what is happening to him at that very moment.
